We seek to address locally some of the issues currently affecting music education reported nationally.

Where non - compulsory musical opportunities are offered to support the musical education of BAYOC members including workshop days, workshop weekends and Concert Tours and a fee is charged to attend the event, the Charity will seek to ensure access is available to all BAYOC members and that no one is excluded due to Financial Disadvantage or Personal Exceptional Circumstance.
Donations will be match funded up to £1,150 by The Greenham Trust for this project!

Encouraging Excellence through Musical WORKSHOPS and Residential weekends.

In the Spring of 2020, we wish to fund a day workshop for two of our ensembles the Basingstoke Area Youth Wind Orchestra and the Basingstoke Area Youth Wind Training Orchestra, involving an estimated 115 children, we wish to provide this free of charge. The workshop will be led by a Colin Touchin a renowned conductor and composer. We also wish to reduce the overall cost of a weekend residential course to ensure it is affordable. This weekend is to be run in the spring of 2020 where 2 of our ensembles The Basingstoke Area Youth String Orchestra and Basingstoke Area Youth Percussion Group., rehearse intensively and bond socially. This event will involves around 48 children.
Donations will be match funded up to £800 by The Greenham Trust for this project!
