Basingstoke Early Access String Ensemble provides an opportunity for beginners to rehearse together and progress into the training orchestra which is for pupils from Beginner to Stage /Grade 2 with the aim of them moving up to Basingstoke Area String Training Orchestra when they are ready.

Basingstoke Area Youth String Training Orchestra formed in 2012 to provide opportunity for younger string players.
There are no auditions and it is open to any child from local schools in the area. We aim to perform one concert each term.
Hampshire Music Service co-ordinates bands, ensembles, orchestras and choirs for children and young people, all over Hampshire. The service organises some 400 performances every year, which can range from small gatherings of musicians and their families, to large events in public venues such as Winchester Cathedral, The Anvil and even The Royal Albert Hall. The service also supports schools to provide quality music tuition and affordable instrument hire to pupils.
Hampshire Music Service charges a fee for Ensemble Membership, which during the school year 2021-2022, is £35 per term and for County Ensemble Membership is £45 per term.
