BAYWO play a wide variety of music - film and show themes, arrangements of pop, and jazz standards, and classical pieces.
As well as taking part in the usual BAYOC concerts, they have hosted two American Wind Bands in the Anvil, have attended workshops and joint concerts with the Band of the Adjutant General's Corps, and have played at Kneller Hall, the home of British Army music in an army band evening concert.
There are no auditions for this group, but players should be of at least Grade 4 standard, although the exams need not have been taken.
We are in the very fortunate position that we own some of the more expensive instruments such as baritone saxophone, tenor saxophones, piccolos, bass, alto and Eb clarinets, which are loaned to players as the need occurs.
